Meet the Team

What is a perfect nose? Would every face look good with the same nose?
Beauty is found in every face but, sometimes it needs a little variation to make it stand out. The same nose will not be in perfect harmony with different shapes, sizes and characteristics of face. The art in rhinoplasty lies in identifying and chiselling the nose to suit the rest of the face. There are certain attributes of an ‘ideal’ nose which include:-
-
Straight nasal bridge with no hump or depression
-
Well defined tip and a good projection
-
Symmetrical nostrils
-
Lowermost part of nose should not be wider than the distance between your eyes.
-
Proportional length of nose

FAQs about Nosejob in Delhi
What percentage of our practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty accounts for majority of our cases. We are a practice dedicated to operating and treating all forms of nose related problems while striving to achieve harmonious nose proportions
How visible is the scar after rhinoplasty?
There are two types of rhinoplasties. An open rhinoplasty is needed for people who have multiple concerns and need major treatment for all the parts of the nose. When you get an open rhinoplasty in Delhi, the scar is a barely visible line. It is located on the underside of the nose and if stitched well is barely visible even at very close distance. In cases of closed rhinoplasty there is no external scar.
How experienced are the surgeons?
Our surgeons have individual surgical experience of 11 years and have operated thousands of cases. They have devoted a major part of their plastic surgical career to training for rhinoplasties. Training for rhinoplasty was done under the mentorship of Dr PS Bhandari who is one of the most gifted rhinoplasty surgeons in India. This training has provided us with the insight into the management of most difficult cases of revision rhinoplasties as well.
Are the surgeons ‘Board certified plastic surgeons in Delhi’?
Our surgeons Dr Aparajeeta Kumar and Dr Raajshri Gupta are board certified aesthetic surgeons who have completed their training at the most prestigious institutes in India. Their extensive training helps them in understanding the patient complaints properly. They are members of the ‘Indian association of aesthetic plastic surgeons; IAAPS’ and the ‘Association of plastic surgeons of India’.
Will I be able to see before and after results of Rhinoplasty?
Yes, you can see many of our nose job surgery results on browsing our profile. Additionally, when you’ll talk to us during your consultation then we’ll demonstrate you more such patient pictures. We are very mindful of the privacy of our patients and do not display photos of patients who do not give consent for showing their pictures.
Can I see the changes planned on my nose before the surgery?
Yes, we use the method of a drawing and explaining the changes anticipated in your nose from different profiles giving you realistic imagery. These images are then available for you to evaluate, analyse and discuss before you decide to get the procedure done.
Is Rhinoplasty covered under health insurance?
Yes, in few cases where the surgery is being done for functional problems like deviated nasal septum, post traumatic nose deformity leading to breathing difficulty, natural weakness of the cartilages of the nose leading internal nasal valve collapse or external nasal valve collapse leading to problems the surgery is covered under health insurance or mediclaim. In case you want the nosejob under mediclain then some tests like CT scan can be done to document the deformity which will ease the process of cashless surgery.
Can Rhinoplasty be done under ayushman bharat scheme?
Our surgeon Dr Aparajeeta Kumar is a faculty at a prominent medical college. For our patients who are struggling with breathing difficulty but are unable to afford the surgery we perform Rhinoplasty under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Where is the surgery done?
We perform our nosejob surgery in Delhi at a state of art hospital in South Delhi where we have an excellent team of anesthetist and nursing staff who’ll ensure that you have a pain free and smooth surgical experience.
How long will the surgery take?
The duration of surgery depends on the specific needs and structure of the nose. For simple procedures like only a nostril reduction or alarplasty would take one hour. However, as the intricacy of the surgery increases the duration increases. On an average a nose surgery in Delhi could last upto 3-4 hours. The surgery is done under general anesthesia and requires a single day admission. This means that you can go home on the same evening or the next morning.
Which anesthesia is used?
We use general anesthesia to ensure that the surgical experience is pain free. Our anesthetists have extensive experience have helped in numerous safe surgeries. The anesthesia is tailor made as per your weight, age and other health parameters. General anesthesia is the safest as it not only removes pain and anxiety, it also helps us in concentrating fully during the surgery.
Which investigations or tests are required before the surgery? Are they really necessary?
As per our protocol every patient is expected to undergo some basic blood and other investigations to ensure that there are no risks during the surgery. You can get these tests in your city if you are travelling to Delhi for your surgery. We advise tests like chest X ray and ECG in patients who are over 40 years of age.
Apart from these tests the most important thing is your medical history. If you are aware of any allergies, are on any medicines or have had any surgeries in the past then please let us know during your meeting with our doctors.
What will recovery look like?
The first 1-2 days will be spent in the hospital (depending on which do you live). We can keep our out of town patients in the hospital for a little longer. In case of correction of the nasal septum a pack is kept inside the nostrils. Because of a pack you might need to breathe through your mouth. We remove the pack after 1-2 days.
A cast is placed over your nose for the first 7 days it is called a splint and it is removed on the 7th day. On the 7th days the stitches over the underside of the nose are removed. When the cast/ splint is removed you would notice a lot of swelling over the nose.
From the 2-6 weeks
The swelling over the nose will start to decrease from the second week and most of the swelling will resolve in about 6 weeks. In these 6 weeks your bones will heal and take their correct shape. In these initial few weeks you can carry out your daily routine, go back to work and perform light cardio exercises. However, heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercises are not allowed. Any sports which would lead to accidental injuries like football, cricket, volleyball etc.
After 6 weeks
The swelling over the nose especially over the tip of the nose will take approximately 1 year to resolve. This happens because we perform structural changes over the bone and the cartilage framework of the nose and the skin takes some time to drape according to the under lying structure.
How can you consult with us online?
We provide virtual consultation for Rhinoplasty through online mode. You can contact us through our website, whatsapp or social media accounts and we can arrange for a virtual consultation to answer your queries.
What is a revision Rhinoplasty?
A revision Rhinoplasty is when you already have had a nosejob but are not happy with the results or still have persistent breathing difficulty. A revision Rhinoplasty is technically more challenging and might require additional grafts like from the ear or ribs as the nasal septum might previously be used.
